MC Highlights of 2025 and Most Anticipated for 2026

01.12.2025 | News

The festive season is just around the corner and the year is drawing to a close – a good time to look back on this year’s highlights and give you an outlook on our most anticipated games for the coming year!

2025

There was already a wide selection of highlight titles in March: Atomfall by Rebellion (nominated for Innovation in Accessibility at the 2025 TGAs) and The First Berserker: Khazan by Nexon and Neople were even released on the same day. Atomfall captivates with its fresh setting in post-nuclear Britain, quirky characters and a gripping story full of secrets, while Khazan stands out with its exceptional graphics and tough boss battles.

Tempest Rising from Slipgate Ironworks, 3D Realms and Knights Peak then brought back the golden age of real-time strategy in April. Tempest Rising was nominated in the ‘Best Sim/Strategy’ category at the 2025 TGAs. Dune: Awakening from Funcom whisked players away to the most dangerous planet in the universe in June.

But autumn also had a lot to offer: FELLOWSHIP from Chief Rebel and Arc Games, as well as ARC Raiders from Embark (nominated for ‘Best Multiplayer’ at the 2025 TGAs) recently thrilled multiplayer fans, and Frontier’s dinosaur park simulation Jurassic World Evolution 3 also earned a TGA nomination for ‘Best Sim/Strategy’.

2026

Next year will continue to be exciting and diverse. In Pearl Abyss’ open-world action adventure Crimson Desert, players will experience adventures on the beautiful but brutal continent of Pywel, and in IO Interactive’s 007 First Light, the origin story of James Bond will be retold.

Things get cosier with Outbound from Square Glade Games and Silver Lining Interactive, where players experience nature and sustainability in a camper van. Hela, the adventure about mice helping a sick witch from Windup Games and Knights Peak, also enchants with an extra dose of cosy vibes and a picturesque game world inspired by the northern Scandinavian wilderness. But before things get too cosy, players can manage operations in freely selectable locations around the world and coordinate fire, police and rescue services, right up to SWAT units, in the management simulation Global Rescue from Aerosoft and PeDePe.
