Danish studio Slipgate Ironworks has been awarded a prestigious accolade at this year’s Pixel Awards 2025, taking home the award in the Best Gameplay category for their real-time strategy title Tempest Rising, published by Knights Peak and Saber Interactive’s 3D Realms publishing label. The awards were presented during the Pixel Heaven 2025 festival in Warsaw. The game was also among the finalists in two additional categories: Best Audio and Big Fish Grand Prix.
The Pixel Awards are one of the most prestigious awards in the Central European gaming market, recognizing indie and AA game developers, celebrating originality, craftsmanship, and bold creative vision. For many developers, these awards mark an important milestone and recognition from the industry.
